Overwatch patch notes v1.30: Roadhog, Reaper, and Mercy buffs
Overwatch’s 1.30 patch cycle is in progress on the PTR right now. So far it looks like a smaller, polishing patch rather than a big headline-grabbing patch - no major reworks are being made or maps introduced, probably because we're coming up to Blizzcon and Blizzard is likely holding something back. That doesn't mean there's nothing impactful going on, though. Confirmed so far are a number of tweaks to a few off-meta heroes, namely Reaper, Roadhog, and two of Blizzard's most troublesome heroes, Mercy and Symmetra. None are too radical, but all should help these heroes perform more consistently - Roadhog in particular gets some changes to his hook's cooldown and target interaction that should help you land those skillshots, while Symmetra's primary fire will charge faster to help you deal more damage. Reaper's spread pattern was adjusted to give him more damage at close range, but that didn't work, so it's been adjusted again. Usual patch caveats apply: these changes aren't yet final and are subject to further tweaks in line with player feedback, for such is the purpose of a PTR.
