Overwatch 2 Moira Concept Makes Her Incredibly Powerful

With the reveal of Overwatch 2, Blizzard showcased a new story-based PvE mode where players are allowed pick any hero, including new heroes, and have separate abilities that are not available in PvP modes. This adds replayability to the mode in which players are able to customize their heroes the way that they intend to play.

Heroes such as Hanzo can earn new abilities that add a dynamic to their current abilities by leveling, like how Hanzo's arrows will seek out and damage any enemy that is scanned by his Sonic Arrow. Recently, players have been making their own ability concepts for what they would like to see from heroes in Overwatch 2 that haven't had their abilities showcased yet.

Redditor Cal-nomen-official has revealed some concepts for the support hero, Moira, and has a pretty interesting take on her abilities in the new Overwatch 2 PvE mode. These abilities include Moira dealing damage to any enemy she Fades through, while also healing her each time, as well as an ability where her Biotic Orb will heal allies and damage enemies simultaneously.

While the max level cap for PvE heroes is not yet confirmed by Blizzard, Cal-nomen-official provides the concept for heroes that can reach level 50. At level 50, the concept skills that are provided are called Bio-Tracker and Strangle. With Bio-Tracker, Moira's Biotic Orbs will follow the first target they are tethered to and Strangle allows for Biotic Grasp to charge up in damage, similar to Symmetra's primary fire, allowing for more damage over time.

PvE hero abilities seem to be a way for Blizzard and the Overwatch team to have fun with absolutely busted character ideas that they may have had in the past but have not implemented due to Overwatch being a competitive game that requires balance. The new mode in Overwatch 2 allows for players to get creative with their ideas and new methods to play their favorite heroes.

While it may be just a concept, this version of Moira seems really fun to play and adds on to her utility and usefulness as a support hero. While Overwatch 2's release date is up to speculation, players can come together and have fun coming up with new hero abilities for the time being.
