Call of Duty: Modern Warfare and Warzone Season 3 PS4 Exclusive Content Confirmed
Call of Duty: Modern Warfare fans are no strangers to exclusive content, as PlayStation has been receiving limited-time exclusivity for certain Modern Warfare, and other Call of Duty games, content since it launched late last year. Now, more PlayStation-exclusive Modern Warfare content has been revealed for Season 3.
This season, PlayStation users will be able to access exclusive in-game aspects and items. Chief among them is a new Survival map, Shoot House, which features both open areas and choke points that players can navigate between as they try to survive waves of enemies. Survival is a PlayStation-exclusive mode entirely, and won't launch on other platforms until October 1st, 2020.
But, that's not all. PlayStation users will also have access to a special Combat Pack, free to all PlayStation Plus subscribers. The pack will include quite a bit of content, with Epic tier items, like a new Wyatt skin and weapon blueprints, available for players. Additionally, players will get Double XP tokens, a spray, and a weapon charm from the pack– not a bad haul for the price of free.
Finally, players will also receive an exclusive Weapon Mission, which will grant a new weapon blueprint upon completion. To find the mission, players should go into the Barracks tab in-game and activate it there. Weapon Missions are a good way to earn interesting configurations of Modern Warfare's guns, so the mission may lead to something pretty rewarding to players.
All of this content will drop alongside Season 3, which releases tomorrow. While exclusive content is disappointing to users on other platforms, Season 3's roadmap indicates there will be quite a bit coming to the game, so there should be enough to keep just about everyone occupied.
Season 2 was a high point for the game so far, introducing beloved maps like Rust and a reimagined version of Ghost from Modern Warfare 2. While the game has struggled with some glitches since launch, it's been a pretty good time to be a Call of Duty fan. Hopefully, Infinity Ward will be able to keep it up well into the foreseeable future. After all, people do need ways to pass the time right now, and video games are a good way to do it.
Call of Duty: Modern Warfare is available now on PC, PS4, and Xbox One.
