Reggie Fils-Aimé is one of the most universally recognized and beloved legends of the gaming community. During his stint as president of Nintendo of America, he gained a massive following and promoted positivity within both the community and the industry. After he stepped down as president, many in the gaming community were disheartened. Even industry professionals paid homage to Reggie after his resignation.
Since leaving Nintendo, Reggie has done a lot for the world of gaming. As of right now, he is on the board of directors for GameStop and teaches at Cornell University. However, in light of the recent COVID-19 pandemic, Reggie has come together with New York games journalist Harold Goldberg to make a podcast in the hopes of funding financially unstable youths and students.
The podcast is called Talking Games with Reggie and Harold. It is a seven episode series that will be used to bring in GoFundMe donations that will go towards buying game consoles and games for youth shelters. The podcast will also include special guests, the first of which being Geoff Keighly, former game journalist and host of the yearly Game Awards.
Even in these uncertain times, Reggie is giving his all to make sure that positivity remains a constant within the gaming community.
