PlayStation Shows How Incredible Ratchet and Clank Mural in Berlin Was Made

It's been a long road to the launch of the PS5, and now that it's finally here, many members of the gaming community could not be happier. Arguably no one is celebrating the launch of the PS5 more than Sony itself, with the company leaving its newly released console's mark all over the world in various different form factors, both digital and physical. Now, Sony has released a video showcasing how the company executed one of its most artistic and impressive promotional installations.

A number of people all over the internet and the world have been celebrating the launch of the PS5, but Sony has done so much more to celebrate the momentous occasion. With the company doing all kinds of crazy and artistic events to commemorate the launch of the console, one of which being a ginormous, dynamic mural painted on a wall in Berlin.

Some might not know, but there is actually a gigantic, two-sided mural located in Berlin with one wall with a huge painting of the PS5 and accompanying controller. The wall on the opposing side features a large painting of the characters Ratchet and Clank, promoting the upcoming release of Ratchet and Clank: Rift Apart. Earlier today, Sony released a small video showing parts of the creative process that went into the creation of these murals.

The span and reach of what Sony has managed to do to celebrate the PS5 is incredibly impressive. Outside of Berlin, signs that show citizens where the London Underground signs were replaced with the PlayStation symbols. Though, the murals and the London Underground signs were far from the only big, public things Sony did to promote the console.

In Sweden, the four PlayStation symbols appeared in the sky a little over a week after the console was initially launched. All around the world, Sony and members of the gaming community have been honoring the launch of the console in a multitude of crazy and memorable ways.

It's safe to say that PlayStation definitely went all out for the PS5's global launch, but it might be best if the hype dies down quickly. Considering how difficult is for most consumers to get their hands on a retail unit at the moment, the less attention the console receives in the short term will allow for more people to get their hands on the system.

The PS5 is available now.
