G2A now provids electronics, hoping to become a “one-stop shop” for gaming

G2A might be best known as a purveyor of very cheap Steam keys, but the company is currently expanding into physical products. In an interview at Gamescom, comms specialist Gabriela Lefanowicz and head of comms Maciej Kuc said that the company aims to become something of a one-stop gaming shop, able to provide everything from the digital version of the game someone is playing, to the chair they’re sitting in in order to play it. Lefanowicz says that “we started with games obviously, but we’ve added a lot of digital items since then,” and that the company aims to “look at what our customer base want, more than what we could already give them.” This time around, that’s physical products, with a storefront that launched earlier this quarter, and is currently in an alpha stage providing “over 1,000 products.” While G2A is, to some extent, known as a purveyor of cheap digital keys from all corners of the internet, Lefanowicz that something that makes the physical store stand out is a ban on second-hand products, and very clear guidelines on who can sell on the store.
