Forza Horizon 4 review scores – our round-up of all the critics
It’s review day for Forza Horizon 4, a week before its release. Let’s see what critics are saying about Playground Games’s latest open world driving title and its take on Great Britain. In our own review, Dave was particularly taken with the addition of seasons and weather against the game’s seamless driving, saying that “it strikes the perfect balance between arcade accessibility and the more challenging aspects of sim racing. You can feel the slips and skids of ice and wet leaves through your thumbs as you would if you were sat in the driver’s seat, steering wheel in hand.” The seasons also affect online PvP races and co-op campaigns. Dave continues: “Once you’re connected, every in-game season plays out over the course of a real-time week, with each weather-specific period graced by its own bespoke championship... This ever evolving online world gives you constant reason to keep logging back in”. Just like Dave was swept away by Forza Horizon 4, it looks like many of the critics have also been impressed. At the time of writing, Forza Horizon 4 has an OpenCritic score (including Xbox One) of 91 and a Metacritic score of 89.
