Hitman 2 Trailer Shows Off A New Jungle Level
Agent 47's next adventure, Hitman 2, arrives in November, and it takes the deadly assassin to a number of new locales on top of all of the levels from the previous game. One of the new areas players will travel to is Santa Fortuna, a village nestled in the jungles of Columbia, and now publisher Warner Bros. Interactive has provided a closer look at the locale in a new trailer.
As the video above showcases, Santa Fortuna is a small, secluded settlement located in the Colombian rainforest. By all appearances, the village is peaceful, but it harbors a dark secret: it also happens to be the home of the Delgado Cartel. As fate would have it, all three of its leaders are currently in the area, which is where Agent 47 comes in.
Players will need to make use of their surroundings in clever ways in order to assassinate members of the cartel. The level encompasses the cartel's mansion and surrounding grounds, including coca fields and a network of caves and ruins. It's also the perfect place to demonstrate some of the new tricks Agent 47 has added to his repertoire in Hitman 2, such as the ability to use foliage to evade detection and hide bodies.
Santa Fortuna is one of six new areas featured in Hitman 2. As previously mentioned, the game will also bring back all six locations from 2016's Hitman--Paris, Sapienza, Marrakesh, Bangkok, Colorado, and Hokkaido--as part of the Hitman Legacy Pack DLC. Each returning map will be updated to incorporate the new gameplay elements from Hitman 2.
Hitman 2 releases for PS4, Xbox One, and PC on November 13. The game will be released in standard, Gold, and Collector's editions; the latter two include various digital bonuses and grant players access to the game four days early. Those who pre-order any edition of Hitman 2 ahead of its release will also get immediate access to the standalone Sniper Assassin mode.
