Blizzard heavily hints that you shouldn’t expect Diablo 4 at BlizzCon 2018

October 17, 2018 Sorry, Diablo fans, you may not want to expect Diablo 4 at BlizzCon 2018.

Today, Blizzard posted a semi-mysterious blog post about what to expect from the Diablo series at BlizzCon 2018. It’s not specific about anything that’ll be at the show, but it does suggest that you should keep your expectations modest for new announcements next month. Some number of the multiple Diablo projects will be shown there, but others will be revealed “when the time is right.” “We know what many of you are hoping for and we can only say that ‘good things come to those who wait,’ but evil things often take longer. We appreciate your patience as our teams work tirelessly to create nightmarish experiences worthy of the Lord of Terror.” The thing most fans are hoping for, of course, is Diablo 4, and it certainly seems that Blizzard wants to keep the hype down for such an announcement as best the company can manage. The post adds “while we won’t be ready to announce all of our projects, we do intend to share some Diablo-related news with you at the show.”
