The AMD RX 590 Radeon GPU is set to appear in a new Asus ROG Strix card

Asus is reportedly prepping an AMD RX 590 under the ROG Strix branding, according to industry sources close to Videocardz. Along with the 3DMark benchmark leak, it's starting to feel like this is going to be the way the expected Polaris refresh is going to go. The fresh groundswell of new AMD graphics card rumours means we can be pretty sure the red team is at least planning something. Whether that’s a complete 12nm refresh of its Polaris lines, with an RX 680 and RX 670, or a higher-clocked card with the RX 590 designation, there are surely new GPUs on the way. The latest rumours are pointing more in the RX 590 direction, with both a 3DMark Time Spy benchmark listing, the Asus ROG Strix product code speculation, and a leaked production schedule giving the RX 590 name far more credence. There are threads linking all the rumours swirling around recently, and the mention of higher clock speeds and a 10% performance boost for the RX 590 over the old-school RX 580 only seem to lend some vague notions of veracity to them.
