Sniper Elite V2 Remastered leak spotted
It looks like developer Rebellion has its sights on another Sniper Elite game; this time a remaster of its second entry in the series. A listing for Sniper Elite V2 Remastered can be found on the Australian Classification website, pretty much confirming that a spruced-up version of the gory sharpshooting game is on the way. As spotted by DSOGaming, the classification rates Sniper Elite V2 Remastered as MA 15+ for strong impact violence, mild impact language, and very mild impact nudity. Strong impact violence certainly rings true; the x-ray camera that has featured prominently in the Sniper Elite series since V2 is particularly grisly. The classification, which was awarded on December 24, also notes that the remaster will be multi-platform and that the ‘Gaming experience may change online’, suggesting that the original game’s co-op and multiplayer modes may well have been remastered, too. This wouldn’t be the first Sniper Elite to be refreshed by Rebellion. 2012's Elite V2 is itself a remake of the 2005 original Sniper Elite, although differences in the narrative perhaps position it more as a ‘spiritual remake’ that a straight up recreation. V2 Remastered is likely to be more of a spruce-up than complete reconstruction, though, if the title is anything to go by.
