New Releases and Pre-Orders Available From Warlord Games

Warlord Games is heading to the lands of sci-fi and WWII in this set of releases and pre-orders. They've got some new Beyond the Gates of Antares kits, as well as some Blood Red Skies and Cruel Seas. Have yourself a look-see.

Pre-order: Beyond the Gates Of Antares Askar Mercenary Warriors

The Askar of ancient times lived in hive-like cities called congregates with a number of sister-hives forming a Congregation: the closest thing among the Askar to a nation or planetary state.

Although the Askar were then divided over many thousands of worlds, they retained a sense of universal identity which they called the Congregation of Askar.

It is not known whether the Askars of today derive from a number of worlds – and hence a number of distinct Congregations – or a single planet. Either way, this does not stop bands of Askar taking opposing sides when employed to do so; certain bands are known to be close and even bitter rivals.

The M50 heavy support series is a variant of the M25, which it closely resembles differing chiefly in its specialist weapon fit. It is designed to carry a heavy X-Howitzer or Mag Mortar together with a quantity of ammunition.

New: Cruel Seas – Flower-class Corvette

The Flower-class corvette (also known as the Gladiolus class after the lead ship) was a British class ship used to escort Allied convoys and act as an anti-submarine vessel during the Battle of the Atlantic.

New: Aichi D3A ‘Val’ flight, Il-2 Sturmovik flight and Fiat CR32 flight

The Aichi D3A ‘Val’ was a carrier-borne dive bomber and was the primary dive bomber of the Imperial Japanese Navy and was involved in most major naval activities, including the Pearl Harbour attack. Being the first Japanese craft to bomb US targets, the Aichi D3A ‘Val’ sank more allied ships than any other Axis aircraft throughout the war.
