Super Smash Bros. Ultimate Has Amazing Banjo-Kazooie Easter Egg
When it was announced that Banjo and Kazooie were coming to Super Smash Bros. Ultimate, many were overwhelmingly excited for it given the duo's ten-year absence from the gaming scene in a significant sense. Now after a leak Banjo and Kazooie were coming a while back, they've joined the fight, and many are happily playing as the duo. One player has now found a neat easter egg regarding them in Super Smash Bros. Ultimate.
Although a Banjo-Kazooie game might have been missing from E3 2019, their addition to Super Smash Bros. Ultimate was no small event. Some people are now so invested in the duo that they've taken close note of their fighting styles, including a Twitter user who pointed out one of the duo's moves closely resembles the theme from Banjo-Kazooie.
Pointing out the two noises sync up "too well to be a coincidence," im salt says that "Rapid Jab" is identical to the rhythm of the banjo in the Super Smash Bros. Ultimate version of the Banjo-Kazooie theme. Im salt expressed their surprise at the fact that nobody had addressed this before. As can be seen in the clip, Banjo swings his fists a couple of times before allowing Kazooie to mercilessly attack opponents in quick succession with her beak. As pointed out by the comparison, the rhythm of Kazooie attacking with her beak sounds uncannily similar to the banjo's rhythm.
If Banjo and Kazooie's simply being added wasn't good enough, this easter egg is sure to help warm players' hearts. The series is held near and dear to many fans, and many are still waiting patiently for a proper series sequel with Banjo-Threeie or something of that nature. As such, the characters' additions to Super Smash Bros. Ultimate should be, at the very least, seen as a blessing, especially when it comes to easter eggs thrown in like this one.
Super Smash Bros. Ultimate is currently available on Nintendo Switch.
