How to Farm XP Fast During Destiny 2's Dawning Event | Game Rant
Destiny 2 players are in the midst of the Dawning, Bungie’s holiday celebration that will last until early January. But while the event is focused on baking cookies and sharing holiday cheer, it’s also a great way to farm XP for the Season Pass.
In addition to the return of the oven and the cookie baking mechanic, Eva Levante has returned to Destiny 2 with a set of Weekly, Daily, and Random bounties. Many of these rely on the baking mechanic, but not all of them do. What makes these bounties so valuable, though, is that each one rewards Double XP compared to a normal bounty.
The bounties that involve regular kills or basic tasks should be completed on all characters for the most XP. We also recommend equipping a ghost with Guiding Light and joining a fireteam with the XP booster to get the most value out of each turn-in. But once those are done, players should turn their focus to the infinite supply of bounties that Eva Levante has.
Usually, these bounties only require baking and delivering cookies, which is a simple task in and of itself. The only things hindering players are the ingredients and the essence needed to bake each cookie, but players can speed up that process too.
Acquiring the Dawning cookie ingredients is fairly straightforward, but there is a list of Destiny 2’s Dawning Ingredients and where to get them. To get lots of Essence, players will need to complete a lot of activities.
We recommend jumping into Team Scorched in the Crucible since the matches are fast, they don’t require much skill, and they give a decent amount of Essence per completion. Players could also equip Symmetry or Eriana’s Vow to work on those catalysts at the same time.
With a bunch of Essence and Ingredients in hand, pick up as many bounties from Eva as possible, bake the cookies, deliver them, and repeat. The only limitations are the ingredients and the loading times for visiting each destination.
For Destiny 2 players, the Double XP bounties is a huge boon in trying to reach Season Rank 100 and unlock all of the cosmetics, ornaments, and consumables that are included along the Premium path. The Season of Dawn armor ornament set, for example, is arguably the best available this season, but completing a whole set requires reaching the highest levels.
