Resident Evil Franchise On Sale For Nintendo Switch | Game Rant

The holiday season is in full gear now, and gamers can reap the benefits by enjoying significant game discounts. Retailers and online game stores are continuing to offer big price cuts in an effort to appeal to those who have just received (or bought) a new game system during the holiday shopping season.

The latest series of games to be greatly discounted is the Resident Evil series, exclusively on the Nintendo Switch.

Not every Resident Evil game is available on the Nintendo Switch, unfortunately. However, the majority of the core Resident Evil series launched on the Switch earlier this year, so players can experience some of the series' greatest hits. Players can expect to pick up every main game and side-game available on the Switch at significant discounts. The prices are as follows.

Resident Evil 0 - $14.99 (originally $29.99)

Resident Evil - $14.99 (originally $29.99)

Resident Evil 4 - $19.99 (originally $29.99)

Resident Evil 5 - $19.99 (originally $29.99)

Resident Evil 6 - $19.99 (originally $29.99)

Resident Evil Revelations - $9.99 (originally $19.99)

Resident Evil Revelations 2 - $9.99 (originally $19.99)

Unfortunately, Resident Evil 7 as well as the Resident Evil 2 Remake are unavailable on Switch. However, for those who have missed out on these other franchise entries or just want to have a portable version that they can carry anywhere, this sale is a great time to jump in and get the games.

While not all Resident Evil games have made it to the Switch, it's still a great time to be a Resident Evil fan. Resident Evil 3 is getting the remake treatment, as was announced officially during the PlayStation State of Play earlier this month. The game is also including Project Resistance as a multiplayer mode extra. While fans probably can't expect this game to come to the Switch, all other current-gen consoles and the PC will get it, so chances are most will be able to play on some other system.

While the Switch versions of these games don't allow for mods, so there won't be any hilarious moments like being chased by a tiny Mr. X, they do have some unique features of their own. For example, Resident Evil 5 and received an update that added gyroscopic aiming and motion controls, similar to the original treatment that Resident Evil 4 received on the Wii, giving players one more way to control their characters' aiming. Oddly enough, this feature remains absent on the Resident Evil 4 Switch release.
