The Game Awards 2019 Winners List | Game Rant
Arguably the closest thing the video game industry has to the Oscars or the Emmys is The Game Awards. Each year, a group of industry insiders and journalists come together to vote on which games should win in a variety of categories. The winners are announced in December at The Game Awards, which has been hosted by video game journalist Geoff Keighley since its inception in 2014.
This year, six games are competing to be crowned Game of the Year, with Control, Death Stranding, Resident Evil 2, Sekiro: Shadows Die Twice, Super Smash Bros. Ultimate, and The Outer Worlds all up for the big prize. It's hard to say which game will walk away with the distinction of being named Game of the Year, but it should be noted that Death Stranding is nominated for the most awards.
For those who don't have time to watch The Game Awards 2019 live, here are all the Game Awards 2019 nominees and which game won in each category.
