Where to Farm the Best Borderlands 3 DLC Weapons | Game Rant

Gearbox has recently released new Borderlands 3 DLC, filled with all sorts of references to Handsome Jack and other beloved characters. Along with the additional story, there are now twelve new DLC-only weapons that players can farm for, and many look familiar to Borderlands fans. While each of these guns can be dropped from just about any DLC enemy, some bosses and enemies have a much better chance to drop specific legendarily.

The Lucky 7 is handgun from Jakobs manufacturing. It's considered one of the best weapons from the Moxxi DLC. Since it's a Jakobs gun, players will get ricochets off of critical hits. One of the coolest parts of this weapon is that every time it is reloaded, it gets one of six randomly chosen perks. The possible perks are:

  • Crosshair: Every shot does critical damage.
  • Bullets: The Lucky 7 becomes full auto and fires faster
  • Fire: The Lucky 7 gets a random element assigned to it.
  • Mushroom cloud: Bullets explode and damage everything within a damage radius.
  • 7: The bullet splits into seven and does seven shots' worth of damage.
  • Trashcan: Gives the gun no additional perks.

This gun can be farmed from the Compactor in the cave to the south, from the boss Scraptrap Prime.

The Boomer is a Dahl SMG gun with a lot of fire power. This gun can also be farmed from Scraptrap Prime in the Compactor, so players can try to grab the Boomer while they are farming for the Lucky 7. It has a special perk on it called "Some Like It Hot" which makes every bullet an explosive.

The Heartbreaker is a Hyperion shotgun. It heals the holder of the gun a percentage of the damage that the gun has dealt to enemies. The Heartbreaker was also a legendary weapon in Borderlands 2, and it makes a brilliant return as a shotgun in the Borderlands 3 Moxxi's Heist DLC. This can be farmed in the Compactor map as well, but a little further north of the Scraptrap Prime. The enemy is called the Gorgeous Armada, and it has a great chance to drop this shotgun.

The Nukem is a Torgue rocket launcher with a long history in Borderlands. This gun was in the Pre-Sequel and Borderlands 2, and it is a reference to the Duke Nukem series, the newest of which Gearbox was responsible for. It returns in all of its glory to Borderlands 3 as strong rocket launcher. It has a greatly increased chance to drop from the Loco Chantelle located inside the VIP Tower.

Made by Hyperion, the Cheap Tips is a SMG with a lot of kick. Players can farm this gun by killing the final boss of the VIP Tower, the Jackpot the Jack's Bot, which is a robot built to look like Handsome Jack (even though he's dead, he keeps appearing all over Borderlands 3). Here's a video to help out with that fight and farming this gun:

The Craps is a legendary pistol that has a chance to fire four additional projectiles with every single shot. It can be also farmed from the final boss of the VIP Tower, the Jackpot the Jack's Bot (see the above video for more information on this boss).

The Ion Laser is an SMG from Maliwan. This gun is designed to be charged before firing; it shoots additional projectiles based on how long the trigger was held before firing. This SMG can be farmed from the boss Evil Saint Lawrence on the Spendopticon; this boss is part of the Mayor's Killer Look Crew Challenges. If players are looking for more information on the Mayor's Killer Look locations, check out this video:

Not to be confused with the Ion Laser, this Rocket Launcher is considered the most powerful of the DLC guns. It's a rocket launcher that can deal an incredible amount of damage. It can be farmed from Jack's Secret map from the Fabricator 2, which is in the final area with the battle arena.

This very sought-after gun is one that is worth farming, even if players don't plan to farm for the other 11 guns. It is one of the big advantages that the DLC has over the base game.

Another returning weapon from Borderlands past, the Creamer is listed as non-dairy, so this gun is great for any diet. It's a Torgue rocket launcher with the potential for loads of damage. This gun can be farmed on the Spendopticon from the Junpai Goat Eater, who is another part of a Mayor's Killer Look Crew Challenge.

There's a reason why the Moxxi's Heist DLC in one of the top DLCs of the year, and really fun and original weapons is one of them. The Scoville is probably the only weapon in any universe that shoots actual hot sauce at enemies. This pistol is of Torgue manufacture, and it comes in a variety of spicy colors. The hot sauce fires in an arc, so this weapon takes a bit of getting used to, but the bullets explode, giving players plenty of splash damage.

Unlike the rest of the legendary guns, players can get a Scoville guaranteed. As players explore the new DLC areas, they will occasionally come across spicy pepper icons on the map. These will lead players to hot sauce bottles that need to be taken out across the map. There are five total locations, and this video goes over each location:

Developed by Hyperion, the Slow Hand is a powerful shotgun. It features Elemental splash damage as well as healing a percentage of damage dealt. This gun can be farmed on the Impound Deluxe map; players will need to kill a robot called the DEGEN-3, which is another for the Mayor's Killer Look Crew Challenge. Just look for that legendary orange glow after the boss has died.

The AutoAime is a Dahl sniper rifle, so it can swap between two different firing modes. This rifle can also track enemies with target-locking bullets. It can farmed in the VIP Tower, battling against Freddie the Traitor. Freddie should be close to the main entrance of the VIP Tower, and should be pretty easy to find.

Borderlands 3 is available for PlayStation 4, Xbox One, Google Stadia, Microsoft Windows, and Macintosh operating systems.
