Avengers Director's New TV Show Casts Two Lead Roles
Citadel, the new TV show from Avengers directors Joe and Anthony Russo, has cast some of its lead roles. It was announced during the Television Critics Association event this week that Richard Madden (Game of Thrones, Bodyguard) and Priyanka Chopra Jonas (Quantico) will star in the Amazon show.
Citadel is described as an "action-packed spy series with a compelling emotional center."
The show will have locally produced versions made for different parts of the world, including Italy, India, and Mexico, featuring different production companies and stars.
Madden and Chopra will star in the US "mothership" version of Citadel. Madden is perhaps best known for playing Robb Stark on Game of Thrones. More recently, he starred on the British TV series Bodyguard, while he also had a leading role in the Elton John biopic Rocketman.
Chopra starred in numerous Bollywood films over the years, following her win at the 2000 Miss World pageant. Her starring role on Quantico was her first major part for American TV.
