Xbox Free Games with Gold February 2020 Wish List | Game Rant
The Xbox Games with Gold will likely be announced in the next few days, following its typical pattern of revealing two Xbox One games and two Xbox 360 games with backward compatibility for the upcoming month. As such, those who have yet to download the January 2020 free games with gold titles for the month will likely want to do it quickly, as a new month will see a few new games arrive on the service.
Ahead of the reveal, there's a few games that we wish could appear on the service, but ultimately, there's no telling what Xbox has up its sleeves for the new month. Whether anything on this list makes it or not, here is our Xbox Games with Gold wish list for February 2020.
Dragon Ball Z: Kakarot just released a few days ago, and while the verdict is still out on how it ultimately weighs as a Dragon Ball Z game, there is one thing it pushes: nostalgia. From the narrator to small events like Goku and Piccolo getting their drivers' licenses, it sells a core DBZ experience. Nonetheless, there are plenty of DBZ games out there, and one of those would do well to appear on Games with Gold. Those who skipped Dragon Ball Xenoverse 2 for some reason or another, whether they became invest in DBZ: Kakarot or not, would likely benefit from exploring the world one more. Plus, there's a spoiler reason for players to check out Xenoverse after Kakarot, but players can see that for themselves by playing the latter.
Ubisoft's titles have a long history of appearing on the Games with Gold lineup, meaning it's likelier sooner than later another Assassin's Creed will appear. Unity is a good choice, as while it launched to numerous issues that steered many-a-gamer away from the entry, it's actually a solid title now. Not to mention, with the Assassin's Creed franchise moving more toward an RPG format, many may be wanting to experience the classic Action-adventure format all over again.
Right now, Batman fans may be pulling out their hair as a new Batman game has been teased through symbols. It's almost certain that this is a Batman game, another entry in the fan-favorite Arkham series, but the developers are keeping the secret close to their chest for now. As such, a Batman game of any sort could help this, and while the Batman: Telltale series dropped on the service in January 2020, there's really no such thing as too much of the Dark Knight. Lego Batman 2: DC Super Heroes then fits the bill and could be a nice follow up playthrough to the recent DC Super Villains game as well.
The popularity for the Witcher is at an all-time high following the release of the Netflix series, with the Witcher 3 in particular seeing a higher player base than it has in quite some time (and currently available via Game Pass). However, many have played it but not its predecessors (the original was a PC game), so despite the fact that it appear on Games with Gold once long ago, it's a good time to run it again for those who missed it. It stands to reason that many will be checking out the franchise for the first time or again given that the Netflix Witcher series won't return until 2021.
The Xbox Games with Gold for February 2020 have not yet been announced.
