Genshin Impact: Where to Find the Souvenir Shop in Monstadt and Liyue
Players around the globe seem to have taken quite a liking to miHoYo's new open world gacha game, Genshin Impact. With many unique and powerful fantasy characters to collect and a map comparable to Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild, Genshin Impact has caused many players to sink countless hours (and money) in the game since it released on September 28.
With so many hours invested, players have likely already managed to hit the first character level roadblock of level 20. To raise the level cap for these characters and participate in high level encounters with friends, players will need to acquire materials in order to Ascend them and continue this grind. And the best way for Genshin Impact players to acquire these Ascension materials will be to visit the Souvenir Shop in either Monstadt or Liyue.
Souvenir Shops in Genshin Impact differ from normal shops within the game. While most shops will accept Mora, the in-game currency, in exchange for the goods that players want to purchase, Souvenir Shops require players to exchange the Sigils from the domain they are currently in. This means that players in Monstadt will need Anemo Sigils to buy materials, while players in Liyue will need Geo Sigils. These Sigils are easily found just by exploring or completing challenges within the various domains of Genshin Impact.
Finding the Souvenir Shops within the two hub areas is actually easier than players might expect. When looking at the map, players will be able to locate a Souvenir Shop by finding an icon with a jewel or gem on it. Simply teleport to the town of choice and look for the icon on the map, or wander the bustling streets of the towns looking for Marjorie or Xingxi with the same gem icon above their heads.
It's important to note that while the Souvenir Shops will trade the items like the various Silvers needed to Ascend characters, they have a limited stock. However, these Shops carry roughly the same items with the only exceptions being Ascension materials for the weapons in the game, so players can simply visit the other Shop if they've exhausted the other's supply. Interestingly enough, the Souvenir Shops in both towns allow players to exchange their Sigils for Mora and unlimited amount of times. So if players are Sigil rich and Mora poor, they should consider a visit to the Souvenir store.
Genshin Impact is available now on PC, PS4, and mobile devices.
