Far Cry 5 Player Recreates Breezehome from Skyrim | Game Rant
If there's one thing that can be said about video game fans, it's that they are dedicated, using skills to faithfully recreate something from their favorite franchises, often using another game's engine. Take, for example, Far Cry 5, in which one user took three years to recreate Goldeneye 64 in Ubisoft's engine, which was initially removed by the company before being re-uploaded under a different name. People seem keen to use this particular engine to do all sorts of creative things.
Recently, a user on Reddit who goes by the name of u/mojoswoptops2020 has uploaded an image which, at first glance, appears to show the interior of Breezehome from The Elder Scrolls 5: Skyrim. However, what's actually being shown is that same home but created in Far Cry 5 with stunning attention to detail, which has almost fooled the people commenting on the post.
With such finesse that's gone into recreating Breezehome, it's difficult to tell the difference between the original and this modded interpretation of the famous Skyrim home. Many users in the thread have commented about how incredibly detailed this version is, with some adding that they find it hard to believe that what they're seeing isn't just a screenshot from Skyrim itself.
Some have even jokingly suggested that this wasn't actually made in the Far Cry 5 engine, but was actually a product of ENB. For those who don't know, ENB stands for Enhanced Natural Beauty and is a way of modifying the graphics of Skyrim by upgrading the game's post-processing effects, such as Anti-Aliasing. However, what u/mojoswoptops2020 has created is something which is a near-perfect simulacra of a popular Elder Scrolls location. The fact that many are so impressed that they can barely believe what they're seeing is a testament to the user's sheer skill and eye for detail.
This is also not the first time the Far Cry 5 engine, called the Dunia engine, has been used by fans to recreate something from another franchise with immense fidelity. Back in May this year, another player managed to build the ship from the Mandalorian, paying particular attention to the scale of the ship. Like Skyrim's Breezehome, this creation is painstakingly accurate, and it's fan-made content like this which goes to show just how talented the community is and how dedicated it is to not only in terms of the games being played, but also the ways in which it incorporates other titles to show love for other franchises.
Far Cry 5 is available now for PC, PS4, Stadia, and Xbox One.
