The Witcher Fan Shows Off Abigail Cosplay
The Witcher universe created by novelist Andrzej Sapkowski continues to grow with popularity. With three highly successful mainline video games based on the books and a well-received Netflix The Witcher series that is about to launch its second season, fans of the universe have much to be excited about these days.
The Witcher series is a medieval-inspired fantasy tale following protagonist Geralt, a magically enhanced monster hunter. The games, in particular, developed by CD Projekt RED, have become much-beloved titles. The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt, which was released in 2015, sits at an impressive 93 score on Metacritic and is regularly regarded by fans as one of the greatest RPGs ever created. Known for its rich characters, extravagant costumes, and dense world-building, The Witcher series' cosplays have deservingly become a favorite of the community.
A Reddit user who goes by the name Aaleenorr has created a cosplay of the character Abigail from the first Witcher game. A witch and alchemist who appears in the first chapter of the game, Abigail assists Geralt by caring for a boy he rescues from a group of barghests early in the title. With Abigail’s fiery red hair and signature necklace, the post showcases Aaleenorr reaching down to touch the flowing water in a small stream while the sunlight beams down on her.
The photo has been a hit with The Witcher Reddit community, earning over two hundred upvotes as of writing. Other Reddit users are praising Aaleenorr’s accurate look and the artistry of the photo. Fans are also happy to see more rare characters from the first Witcher game included in cosplays, as it is likely the least popular entry in the game series.
