Diablo 2 Fan Shows Off Insane Custom PC Build

Considered by many to be the greatest action RPG of all time, Diablo 2 certainly has no shortage of fans. With Blizzard’s classic looter being remade by the same talented Vicarious Visions team that did the excellent Crash Bandicoot N. Sane Trilogy, as well as Tony Hawk’s Pro Skater 1 + 2, plenty of dungeon-delvers are eagerly awaiting the upcoming release of Diablo 2: Resurrected.

Adoring fans can come up with a multitude of ways to celebrate a favorite franchise like Diablo. From incredible fan art drawings to impressive box art concepts for incoming titles, players are always more than happy to hype up their beloved games. A creative fan has thought up a unique idea to honor the impending release of Diablo 2: Resurrected.

Reddit user SpecVengeance has created an insane custom Diablo 2: Resurrected PC build. With respectable components like a Ryzen 5 5600x, RTX 3060, and NVMe storage, the build’s performance should be plenty adequate for most use cases, but the real star of the show here is the striking custom case.

By taking a “be quiet! Pure Base 600” case that allows easy viewing into the PC’s components and fitting various parts with searing orange RGB lighting, SpecVengeance’s custom build manages to draw attention with its fiery glow. The centerpiece of the whole intriguing design is a Diablo 2: Resurrected logo on the front of the case that also glows in the same striking orange hue. The post has had a highly positive response on the Diablo 2 subreddit, earning over 1.2 thousand upvotes as of writing and being praised by fellow community members who wish it were their next PC.

While plenty of games get the remaster or remake treatment, like the recently announced Star Wars: Knights of the Old Republic remake, there are few games that are considered as classic as Diablo 2. Developer Blizzard tried to follow up the hack-and-slash masterpiece with Diablo 3 in 2012, and while that game was also well-received after the initial launch issues were rectified, many fans still prefer the much older Diablo 2.

Publisher Activision isn’t simply just relying on the Diablo 2 remake to satisfy hungry fans either; Diablo 4 is currently in development and looks to feature a darker tone more reminiscent of the second game than the third. Still, Diablo 4 is yet to be given a release date, so fans looking for more dungeon-diving should give Diablo 2: Resurrected a try, even if their own PC doesn’t glow orange with the fire of the underworld.

Diablo 2: Resurrected is set to release on September 23 for PC, PS4, PS5, Switch, Xbox One, and Xbox Series S/X.
