Tennis Icon Serena Williams Wears 'Wakanda-Inspired Catsuit' to French Open
Serena Williams has returned to Grand Slam tennis following maternity leave, in a specially-designed "catsuit" that the tennis ace has called "Wakanda-inspired."
The athlete cites Black Panther's fictional setting as the inspiration for the bodysuit, which she wore for medical reasons at the French Open — specifically to prevent blood clots following a somewhat arduous delivery of her daughter.
"I feel like a warrior in it, like a warrior princess kind of, (a) queen from Wakanda.
I'm always living in a fantasy world. I always wanted to be a superhero, and it's kind of my way of being a superhero.
