Fortnite pro XXiF accused of cheating to qualify for the World Cup

A Fortnite Battle Royale pro who goes by the name XXiF has been accused of cheating in order to qualify for the Fortnite World Cup. A video replay of XXiF, who represented Rise Nation esports in the North America East Solo qualifiers across the weekend of April 28-29, allegedly shows him teaming up with two players to score easy kills.

The accusatory video was posted on Twitter by fellow Fortnite pro HighSky on April 29 and has since gone viral. In it, HighSky shows how two players land on the map near XXiF, he then points out that they prioritise trying to open a chest while ignoring that XXiF is shooting at them. This is unusual behaviour given that these players are among the best Fortnite players in the world.

HighSky also reckons that the second player XXiF eliminates in the video deliberately misses their shots. Dexerto adds to this that one of the players that XXiF takes out in the clip is reported to be a friend of his. All of it adds up to be a strong case against XXiF who has qualified for the Fortnite World Cup by coming second in the Week 3 qualifiers, winning $4,000 to go with it.
