Call of Duty: Modern Warfare is real and coming in October, according to hacked trailer

It looks like the rumours were true. Someone managed to preview images from the reveal trailer which is due to go live later today, and those images suggest that Call of Duty 2019 will be called Call of Duty: Modern Warfare, and it will be out in October.

A YouTuber revealed this title earlier in the week, and Kotaku's Jason Schreier endorsed it. Now that someone has apparently managed to 'hack' the trailer too, it's looking pretty concrete. That trailer was available on the COD YouTube channel as a video premiere - essentially, a hype-building teaser that hides the video until a scheduled time. It has been pulled now, because a Redditor named nehpets1999 found a Chrome plugin that can pull images from videos, and - you guessed it - it works on premieres. Here's nehpets1999's post on Reddit.

The previewed images show a solider wearing night-vision goggles in a dark forest, but more importantly, they show the key art and a release date. The month of 'October' is clearly visible, but the exact date is not. All we can tell is it's double digits.
