League of Legends patch 9.14 will release a week later than usual
For years, League of Legends has adopted a (relatively) strict two-week patch cadence. With a couple of exceptions, usually around US national holidays, new updates arrive on the game's testing (PBE) servers every other Wednesday, heading to live two weeks later. For League of Legends patch 9.14, however, that won't be the case.
Once or twice a season, Riot rolls out a three-week patch, to help ensure a uniform number of updates over the course of a year. According to a post regarding the PBE's server status made late last night, patch 9.14 will be one of those.
That post reads that "due to the three week patch, there will be no additional scheduled PBE maintenance this week. The next PBE maintenance will be July 1 at around mid-day Pacific time." That means that there won't be any major changes to content on the testing server over the next week, and that you'll be waiting an extra week for patch 9.14 to arrive. With that in mind, expect it to release on Wednesday, July 17.
