WWE 2K20 2K Originals DLC Packs Leak | Game Rant
Even though WWE 2K20 is set to release in just a month's time, 2K Sports has been suspiciously secretive when it comes to details about this year's wrestling game. However, some information has seemingly leaked thanks to Italian video game retail website Game Life, which may have prematurely revealed what fans can expect from the WWE 2K Originals' post-launch DLC, to be part of the season pass and available as standalone purchases.
While the Game Life website has now been updated to remove the information, screen grabs exist that show the WWE 2K Originals leaked DLC. According to the listing, WWE 2K20 DLC will include 2K Originals expansions called No Man's Land, Southpaw Regional Wrestling, and The Empire of Tomorrow. Outside of Southpaw Regional Wrestling, it's hard to say definitively what these 2K Originals DLC packs will actually be about.
For those who don't know, Southpaw Regional Wrestling is the name of a fictional wrestling organization that serves as a parody of old-school territory wrestling, airing on the WWE Network. It has proven to be quite popular with fans, and its possible inclusion in WWE 2K20 should mean that many stars on the game's roster could have some fun alternate costumes on the way based on the characters they play on the Southpaw Regional Wrestling show.
As for "Empire of Tomorrow," it's possible that particular 2K Originals DLC is about both Asuka and Roman Reigns. Asuka uses the nickname "Empress of Tomorrow," whereas Roman Reigns' fans are referred to as the "Roman Empire." It's also possible that something has been lost in translation and the expansion is supposed to be called "Empress of Tomorrow," and will just be about Asuka.
Another possibility is that this information has been faked somehow, or that the Game Life website was mistaken. Like with any leak, we recommend fans take this news with a grain of salt until official word comes from 2K Sports.
2K Originals is a pretty unique idea for WWE 2K20, as it features some more bizarre ideas. The first 2K Originals pack is called Bump in the Night, and it features horror versions of various WWE superstars. It remains to be seen what the other packs will contain, but if this leaked information is correct, then fans should have some very interesting DLC to look forward to for WWE 2K20.
WWE 2K20 launches on October 22 for PC, PS4, and Xbox One.
