Mortal Kombat Fan Creates Awesome Female Scorpion Cosplay
Cosplay costumes can often be hit or miss, as some longtime cosplayers get their costumes accurate to a T while newly-initiated ones sometimes miss the mark. There are plenty of Mortal Kombat cosplayers out there, but one cosplayer in particular has gotten the look of a female Scorpion down to an absolute science.
Rocio Cosplayer, or rociocosplayer on Instagram, knows her way around an accurate costume. Recently, she has been posting images to Instagram of herself in an outfit of Mortal Kombat fighter Scorpion.
As illustrated by the picture, Rocio pays notable attention-to-detail in the outfit. From the gauntlets to the torso armor to the yellow mask and contacts, Scorpion is done immense respect by the outfit.
In addition to this photo, as well as recent ones, Rocio Cosplayer has actually been displaying the Scorpion outfit for a while. At an event with Mortal Kombat creative director Ed Boon, she can be seen in the same outfit.
The outfit worn by Rocio is as accurate as cosplay costumes come while putting a female spin on Scorpion's outfit. It has immense similarities to Scorpion's traditional getup and is ultimately an outfit likely to appeal to Mortal Kombat fans.
There is a great deal of passion in the cosplaying community. This was evident alone in the variety of cosplay outfits seen at San Diego Comic-Con 2019. Some of the most notable outfits there included that of fellow Mortal Kombat character Sub-Zero, as well as Jigglypuff, and Isabelle from Animal Crossing. Clearly, the best cosplay isn't limited to purely human outfits and can be made interesting by creative cosplayers in the community.
Going forward, Mortal Kombat fans will have to wait to see what Rocio and other cosplayers have in store. There could be more Scorpion pictures from her or she may try out costumes of other Mortal Kombat characters. In any regard, Rocio's attention-to-detail provides hope for any outfit she may undertake in the future.
Mortal Kombat 11 is currently available on Xbox One, PlayStation 4, Nintendo Switch, and PC.
