How to Get the Borderlands 3 Don't Be A Stranger Achievement or Trophy

The long-awaited first DLC expansion for Borderlands 3, Moxxi’s Heist of the Handsome Jackpot, has finally been released. The expansion, which was first revealed over a month ago on November 20 earlier this year, brings back fan-favorite characters Mad Moxxi and Handsome Jack, to a certain extent. As most fans of the series know, Handsome Jack is often named as the series’ best villain with quite the legacy left behind him in previous entries across the series’ extended history.

The DLC expansion tasks players with aiding Moxxi in reclaiming Handsome Jack’s casino, but is quickly embroiled in debt and forced to clear their name and raid the casino from the squatter who has taken it over. Though Borderlands 3’s first DLC sees the return of some fan-favorite characters, it also sees the return of everyone’s favorite worker robots, the CL4P-TP General Purpose Robots – commonly known as Claptraps. Moxxi’s Heist even has a pretty neat achievement involving a new Claptrap robot, called the Clapstructor.

Though Borderlands players know Claptrap himself as the most popular CL4P-TP, he is not the only notable Claptrap-type robot of his kind. In Moxxi’s Heist, players will encounter a new Claptrap NPC called the Clapstructor. Don’t worry about missing him, as he will be naturally encountered through the ‘One Man’s Treasure’ story mission, so players will have to encounter him to see the Moxxi’s Heist DLC through.

While Moxxi’s Heist contains achievements where players will have to look out for or collect a certain number of items, like the Firebug achievement that tasks players with finding all of the Ember statues throughout the DLC, this achievement is much simpler. Players will simply need to go back and talk to the Clapstructor after the ‘One Man’s Treasure’ story mission is finished.

There will be light story spoilers for this specific mission in this guide, so readers be warned: at the end of ‘One Man’s Treasure,’ the Clapstructor will end up sacrificing itself. However, instead of dying he simply gets molded into a piece of scrap metal, but still functions. Though a bit morbid, players can go back to his permanent location on the map and speak with him, netting them the ‘Don’t Be A Stranger’ achievement.

The location of the Clapstructor can be seen on the map in the image above. The Clapstructor will end up in an area called The Compactor in Trashlantis, where he will remain for the rest of the DLC. Thankfully, the Clapstructor can be spoken to at any time, even after completing every DLC story mission. This means that players won’t have to worry about permanently missing out on this trophy while they’re out there farming the best weapons that Moxxi’s Heist has to offer.

Though most of the legendary weapons that Moxxi’s Heist has to offer have already been unearthed, it is still going to take quite a bit of time and luck for players to nab their perfect weapon. Thankfully, this first DLC expansion offers a lot for players to dive into and discover, so Vault Hunters everywhere will hopefully have their hands full for quite a while.

Borderlands 3 is out now for PC, PS4, Stadia, and Xbox One.
