The Witcher Collection Gets Massive Discount on PC | Game Rant

Though the last mainline game came out four years ago, there has been a resurgence in popularity for The Witcher games. This, of course, is all thanks to Netflix's new show (mostly) based on the books the video games were based on.

There are plenty of great reasons why fans should return to The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt, but what about those fans that didn't pick up the game back in 2015? Fortunately for these new fans, GOG.com is still having it's winter sale and just so happens to have the entire The Witcher collection on sale for a huge discount.

The three mainline The Witcher games, as well as spin-off games Thronebreaker: The Witcher Tales and The Witcher Adventure Game, are on sale at GOG.com for the next five days. All five games have a collective 77% discount, bringing what would normally be a $120 purchase down to $26.95. The Enhanced Edition of the first game has the biggest discount, going from $9.99 all the way down to $0.79. Of course, the most popular title, The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt, still gets a big discount. The Game of the Year Edition has gone down from $49.99 to $14.99. Fans picking up The Witcher 3 for the first time should also download the Redux mod that overhauls the game.

There are plenty of other great game bundles on offer at GOG's winter sale. The Paradox Strategy Bundle includes five great strategy games published by Paradox Interactive for $70.56, down from a regular $200. The bundle includes BattleTech and even two 2019 releases: Age of Wonders: Planetfall (down from $50 to $33.49) and Imperator: Rome. There are plenty of critically acclaimed indie games on sale at GOG as well, including Dead Cells (down from $25 to $17.49), A Plague Tale: Innocence (down from $45 to $22.49), and What Remains of Edith Finch (down from $20 to $8).

Other great games deals available during GOG's winter sale include the 2019 Metroidvania game Bloodstained: Ritual of the Night (down from $40 to $30), the run and gun game Cuphead (down from $20 to $14), and the role-playing video game Darkest Dungeon (down from $25 to $17.49).

Clearly, there are a lot of video game franchises on sale at GOG, but The Witcher Universe Collection is one of the cheapest bundles available right now. That may have to do with the popularity of Netflix's recent The Witcher series. The show has proven to be so popular that it has led to a resurgence of players returning to The Witcher 3, as well as a whole wave of new fans playing the game for the first time. In fact, The Witcher 3 broke its previous player record due to the popularity of the Netflix series. With this sudden rise in a player base, it makes sense that digital retailers may want to discount the games to further entice fans into making a purchase.

The Witcher Universe Collection's sale ends January 4th, 2020. GOG's winter sale runs until January 2nd, 2020, at 2 PM UTC.
