Dragon Ball Z Themed Nintendo Switch is Very Awesome | Game Rant

If there's one character in Dragon Ball that could be considered to have the most iconic design out of everyone in the series, it would be the Eternal Dragon, Shenron. Even beyond the Dragon Ball franchise, Shenron easily stands out as one of the most iconic dragons in fiction just based on his design alone.

From tattoos to other showcases, if fans want to display their love for the Dragon Ball series, Shenron often ends up being the guy they go to. Keeping along with the trend of using Shenron to show support for the franchise then, a fan has placed the dragon's likeness on his Nintendo Switch in both a creative and simple way.

The fan, Reddit user Van_Inhale, then posted his creation on Reddit for everyone to see. By taking two green Joy-Con's and replacing their joystick grips with one's designed after the One-star Dragon Ball, Van_Inhale created a handheld Nintendo Switch theme that looks strongly reminiscent of Shenron.

The scheme of the theme works through strong hints. It doesn't feature Shenron anywhere on the console but still manages to invoke thoughts of the dragon through just its green color and the Dragon Ball joysticks. Shenron's iconic design and association with the Dragon Balls allow the theme to work as well as it does.

Obviously, this isn't an officially licensed Dragon Ball Z design for the Nintendo Switch. Van_Inhale created this using green-based Joy-Cons and Dragon Ball joystick grips he purchased from a site called "grooves land" (they have the Four-star Dragon Ball design as well). It's likely possible to find a Nintendo Switch hardcover skin featuring Dragon Ball Z, though. Fans have a way of showing support for the properties they love through artwork, and Dragon Ball is famous enough that not having a design for it on the Nintendo Switch would be surprising.

Dragon Ball also happens to be prominent enough throughout Nintendo's consoles that it would probably be possible to find an officially licensed design somewhere, too. On the other hand, however, Nintendo can be pretty stiff when it comes to focusing on properties not concerning its originals, so the opposite of the previous statement could be just as likely.

Sadly, Van_Inhale's trick wouldn't work on the Nintendo Switch Lite do to it only coming in three colors: yellow, gray, and turquoise. Maybe in the future, Nintendo will release more colors for the Lite, with green being one of them.
