Every Mortal Kombat 11 Kombat Pack 2 Rumor So Far | Game Rant
Mortal Kombat 11's Spawn releases in just a few weeks, and as exciting as that is, many are looking even further into the future at Kombat Pack 2. It's worth mentioning that NetherRealm Studios hasn't even officially announced the next run of Mortal Kombat 11 DLC, but that hasn't stopped the rumor mill. Dating all the way back to the first Kombat Pack, there have been a plethora of rumors and leaks.
If there is indeed a MK11 Kombat Pack 2 announcement, there's a good chance it'll come a couple of months after the release of Spawn if not sooner. It would likely bring 2020 to an end and bring in 2021 with even more DLC, but without further ado, here's who fans can expect (with a reasonable grain of salt, as none of these are confirmed).
It's not usually the best idea to bank on any rumors in the gaming industry, but it would honestly be surprising if Sheeva, Fujin, and Evil Dead's Ash Williams didn't make the cut. The primary reason is that each of these three characters first appeared in a leak accurately detailing every Mortal Kombat 11 DLC character so far, just with the addition of these three.
This was then backed up in numerous instances: Ash Williams, for example, appeared on an advertisement, and Fujin games files have since been found. In fact, it's almost to the point that any Mortal Kombat 11 rumor that doesn't list these characters is almost inadmissible in the greater scheme of things.
Stryker is a big of a strange addition, as this doesn't necessarily come from any direct rumor or leak, but the belief that Ed Boon teased his MK11 addition with a Tweet. Boon has a reputation for teasing and trolling his fans, which means this should be met with equal skepticism as the most obscure of rumors. However, it's not entirely unprecedented, either. A pre-release rumor said that Stryker would appear in Mortal Kombat 11 and be voiced by John Cena, but since this rumor was not included in the accurate release rumor, it's worth a heavy dose of salt.
Perhaps the biggest leak in recent memory comes way of 4chan, where nothing should truly be believed. That said, there have been plenty of rumors to originate on the anonymous image board and so it's worth its consideration. A post recently claimed that, in addition to the big three aforementioned here, Takeda, Havik, and Halloween's Michael Myers would round out Mortal Kombat 11's Kombat Pack 2.
On the one hand, this makes a ton of sense; even though he was introduced in Mortal Kombat X, Takeda is a fan-favorite. Joker's ending brings Havik into the fold, and Michael Myers would be a crossover for the forthcoming movie. With Sheeva, Fujin, and Ash Williams too, it has the potential to be even bigger than the first Kombat Pack, which itself is suspiscous. In so many ways, this Mortal Kombat 11 rumor sounds too good to be true, so it's hard to say whether or not this leak has much to it or is effectively just a fan wish list.
Contradicting the aforementioned Michael Myers leak, another one reared its heading insisting that the second Kombat Pack would only include 4 characters. It's worth adding that, while many expect it to have the exact same number as the first MK11 Pack, there's really no guarantee of this. This rumor indicates that Sheeva, Fujin, and Ash Williams will be joined by Havik.
This rumor indicates that Spawn's gameplay trailer will tease the addition of these four characters, so if it indeed shows off four new character silhouettes, this MK11 rumor may actually be confirmed. Stranger things have happened, so the best thing is to wait for Kombat Pack 2 to see if this is actually true or not.
Furthermore, Havik is worth a double-take. Not only does he appear on this Mortal Kombat 11 rumor, but in the Michael Myers one as well. This would seemingly indicate that both rumors are just guesses based on Joker's ending, or one is accurate and the other was just a lucky guess. Either way, both can't be true, but at the very least, this latter one will be proved or disproved sooner rather than later.
Mortal Kombat 11 is out now for PC, PS4, Stadia, Switch, and Xbox One.
