Grand Theft Auto 5 Player 'Wasted' by Super Cops in Viral Clip
The cops in Grand Theft Auto 5 have always been dedicated to their jobs. If it can lead to the player's "arrest," they will happily drive themselves off of cliffs or stare down the wrong end of the barrel of a tank.
This passion is perfectly summed up in a new clip posted to Reddit by user Why_U_Hatin. The video features a high-speed chase involving Franklin, and as one can probably guess, it doesn't end very well for him.
The video is appropriately titled "Stop Resisting!" and it starts with Franklin speeding through the neighborhood and approaching a hill. Once he crests the hump, things start to get pretty wild. As Franklin's speed takes him airborne down the road, the kind of situation he's in becomes apparent as a sudden cop car goes flying over his head.
It crashes in front of Franklin, but not before dropping its back wheel on top of his head. The impact causes him to wipe out and smash into the hood of the patrol unit, something he miraculously survives. The miracle comes to an end rather quickly, however, when the cop driving the car simply steps out and pumps a shotgun blast into the side of Franklin's head.
GTA5 cops are notorious for being hilariously aggressive, so Why_You_ Hatin's death can be considered just another day on the job for them. Still, what exactly Why_You_Hatin did to earn such a death remains a mystery. Despite only having two stars to their name, the cops were chasing them down with some evident enthusiasm.
However, the death screen does show that Why_You_Hatin failed a mission, so that could explain why he was hunted so vigorously. Considering the bike Franklin was riding on before being tragically unseated by a flying car, Why_You_Hatin was probably playing Grand Theft Auto 5's Repossession mission.
Regardless, with Grand Theft Auto 6 rumors and speculation circulating nowadays, this seems like a good time to hope that the cops will be just as dedicated to their work in that game as they are in this one. Their need to shoot on sight for even the smallest of offenses adds a sense levity that Grand Theft Auto's single-player mode needs. It'll be a while before GTA 6 releases, but at least, in the meantime, cops can keep entertaining players.
Grand Theft Auto 5 is out now for PC, PS3, PS4, Xbox 360, and Xbox One.
