Resident Evil 3 Remake Preview Confirms Two Returning Features

In just over a month from now, Resident Evil 3 remake will be released to the PC and consoles and will see the return of series veteran Jill Valentine and her desperate escape from the doomed Raccoon City. Now, new gameplay previews for the upcoming remake have surfaced online, giving players a glimpse of what to expect from the upcoming game.

The gameplay preview also confirmed that the remake will include several returning features from the original game such as the dodge mechanic. Given that Resident Evil 3 remake will be more action-oriented than its predecessor, the emergency evade feature is a welcome addition to the game, as Jill will be able to perform a quick dodge roll that will allow her to evade attacks from several enemies. She is also seen performing a side-step move as an alternative which will be extremely helpful in dealing with Nemesis.

There is also another move that when executed right before an enemy grabs Jill, she will not only be able to dodge the attack but will turn around in slow motion. This will give players the perfect opportunity to land a headshot and eliminate the threat at hand. It is worth pointing out that this specific Resident Evil 3 dodge mechanic was not featured in the original game, and it is interesting to see whether Capcom has added even more moves in the Resident Evil 3 remake.

Furthermore, explosive objects are also making a return in the upcoming remake. Players who have played the original game would remember that the game was filled with explosive objects such as the red barrels, wall bombs, and many more that players can strategically use to kill groups of zombies and other enemies. The latest previews of Resident Evil 3 confirms the return of these objects, which will be extremely helpful in clearing out Frog Hunters or inflicting heavy damage to Nemesis.

Meanwhile, fans who can't wait to get their hands on Resident Evil 3 remake would be happy to know that Capcom will be releasing a demo soon. Unfortunately, Capcom did not indicate when the demo will be available, and which parts of the game it will cover.

It is worth remembering that prior to its release, Resident Evil 2 remake received a 30-minute demo that can only be played once. Although there is still no official confirmation, it is likely that Resident Evil 3's upcoming demo will be released in the same format.

Resident Evil 3 remake is scheduled to release on April 3, 2020, for the PC, PS4, and Xbox One.
