Temtem: The 10 Coolest Looking Creatures | Game Rant

The Pokemon-like MMORPG Temtem is proving to be a fun and engaging online game that fans of this collection/fighting style of play have been looking for. It still has some issues being a new game of course, but so far it’s been a blast according to players just starting out.

While there are a lot of Temtems that haven’t been found or introduced in the game there’s still plenty to of interesting monsters to catch to add to your collection and some that are soon to be included. Here are arguably the coolest you can find right now and ones you should be looking forward to in the coming days.

10 Anahir

Anahir is a Crystal/Fire type Temtem that cannot be found in the wild. It’s the result of the mad scientist Dr. Hamijo attempting to create a new Diamond type, but failed and created this creature instead. It has a strong Defense and Special Defense making it a cool looking tank to add to your team.

If you want this dog-like crystal beast for yourself you must complete the quest Adventure In The Myrisles. After defeating Dr. Hamijo you will acquire this Temtem in the Anak volcano where it’s imprisoned.

9 Noxolotl

This mysterious dragon-like creature is a Toxic type Temtem. Legends from the Tucmani people say that it’s a noble and dignified being that stands as a symbol for hope as this beautiful creature was born from the toxic depths of Xolot.

The Noxolotl is not found in the wild, to get one of these strange beauties for yourself you must first catch a Toxolotl in the Xolot Reservoir. After leveling it up 30 times it will evolve into the Noxolotl. With it’s decent HP, Defense, and Special Attack stats along with poisonous moves it can be an effective sweeper or at the least whittle a tank’s health over time.

8 Zaobian

The Zaobian is one of two digital Temtem in the game, the other being it’s unevolved form Oree. It bears a remarkable resemblance to the two Disney characters EVE from WALL-E with the ears of Stitch from Lilo & Stitch.

This neat looking Temtem is not currently available for the player to own in the game. The only one in existence is currently in the possession of your rival Max. Given the interest by the fanbase it’s likely that the developers will soon include this cyborg-ish monster into the game for the player to one day own.

7 Amphatyr

Amphatyr is an Electric/Nature Temtem that bears a remarkable resemblance to a deer. Those that donated to the Kickstarter of Temtem were able to vote on the creature’s name. Because of this Amphatyr is not currently in the game, though will be released in one of the upcoming updates.

There hasn’t been any information regarding the creature’s stats and abilities, but given it’s typing it’s likely to be a fast Temtem with high Special Attack. It’s also unclear if this will be something the player must catch or if it’s given to the player as part of a new quest.

6 Shuine

This interesting serpent is a Crystal/Water hybrid that resides in the Kakama Cenote on Tucma island. Inspite of its predatory appearance it’s actually a bottom feeder, filtering the toxic waters of the Xolot for food and producing cleaner water.

It has decent Stamina, Speed, and Special Attack making it a handy Temtem to have on your team. It does not evolve from or into anything and can only be found in the Kakama Cenote. It’s also rather rare, only appearing in 5% of encounters meaning you’ll need to do some hunting to find it.

5 Nidrasil

The Nidrasil looks like the Hydra from Greek legends, but unfortunately for the player doesn’t possess the same regenerative abilities. It does have high Attack, Defense, and HP allowing it to be an effective brawler when combined with some of its Toxic/Grass abilities.

The game describes this beast as a former legend of folklore before scientists discovered its existence a few decades ago. It is not found in the wild, but is evolved from an Orphyll that is a single-headed version found either in the Corrupted Badlands or the Xolot Reservoir.

4 Raican

These proud lion-like creatures are full of ferocity and fiery potential. Legends say that these red-maned beasts used to roam the lands in large herds before driven underground after the Archipelago cooled.

Raican are not found in the wild but are the end of an evolution chain starting with Raibers. A Raiber can be caught in the Glassway where it appears rarely or at the Anak Volcano where it’s more common. After 15 levels it’ll evolve into a Raize and after 25 levels the Raize will evolve into a Raican.

3 Myx

This Temtem is said in the game to be one of the older creatures in existence, a being that inspired fear and religious awe to the Tucma people. One glance at this Crystal/Toxic creature and it’s not hard to see why they believed it was the embodiment of evil spirits.

If you want one of these terrors on your team you’ll have to catch an Occlura in Kupeleleza where it’s fairly common then level it up 18 times. Afterward you’ll have a Temtem with great Special Attack and Special Defense to terrorize your opponents with.

2 Mastione

The Mastione is an awesome looking Temtem that makes players wish sharks in real-life never grow legs and walk on the land any time soon. With a head like a hammerhead shark and scythe-like forearms this creature has evolved for battle and serves as the ultimate predator with fiery abilities and a strong Attack stat.

You can catch a Mastione in the wild at the Anak Volcano, but it is very rare and will take you some time. It might be easier to catch a Magmis also at Anak Volcano or on the hopper island nearby where it’s much more common and level it up 17 times.

1 Kalabyss

The Kalabyss is by far the coolest looking Temtem in the entire game right now. It’s a large squid splattered with black spots, strange wing-like protrusions and spikes jutting out of it’s head. These are Toxic/Water creatures that thrive in the noxious depths of the Xolot Reservoir.

It’s believed to be the mutation of a Kalazu, it’s unevolved form, that has come into contact with the toxic waters of the Xolot Reservoir, though this is speculation. If you want this nightmare on your team you can grind for it in the Xolot Reservoir or catch the more common Kalazu from the Thalassian Cliffs, Sillaro River, or Aguamarina Caves and level it up 18 times.
