Temtem Update Adds Safari Zone-Like Area | Game Rant
New to the vibrant and colorful world of Temtem is the Saipark, which functions similarly to Pokemon's Safari Zone, but with several innovations on the formula to make the area uniquely Temtem's. This is the main, though not the only, new feature which developer Crema has introduced in the game's update to Alpha 0.5.12.
Along with 0.5.12 comes the Vault, a way to permanently store more items, in addition to animations for idle players. Additionally, the update brings with it numerous minor changes, such as balancing patches and bug fixes– some of which have a fairly significant impact.
The Saipark is an end-game area that allows players to capture two species of Temtem within its confines. What Temtem can be caught will change over time, as the park works on a weekly rotation system, routinely switching out the two available species. These Temtem come with various modifiers, namely egg techniques, a higher chance of being Luma, or having a set minimum for their SVs. It should be noted that, like the Safari Zone, players can only use special capturing tools inside of the Saipark, in this case Saicards, which function like Temcards but only last for their respective week, and change depending on the available Temtem.
The Vault, which is accessed from larger Temporiums, functions as a method for players to store more of their precious items in a safer way. Items that are stored in the Vault during a character reset are kept, and any items gained through promotional codes are automatically transferred to it.
In terms of balancing, with the introduction of a new way to increase the chances of catching Luma Temtem via the Saipark comes a sizable reduction in the default odds of encountering a Luma Temtem, going from one in six thousand Temtem being Luma to one in eight thousand. Other changes include a reduction in the money gained by selling items, except for items that have the sole purpose of being sold, as well as Telomere Hacks now affecting fertility.
In regards to bug fixes, a decent amount of issues that had players getting stuck should be fixed now. Hopefully, with Alpha 0.5.12, players should now have less chance of becoming stuck, and more reason to come back to Temtem every week.
Temtem is currently available for PC in Early Access.
