xQc Banned From Twitch for Playing Inappropriate Game | Game Rant

Former professional Overwatch player Felix “xQc” Lengyel has been banned from Twitch yet again for showing a brief bit of nudity during a livestream.

The popular streamer was playing Strip 4, a risqué video game version of Connect Four with rules similar to strip poker. When xQc beat his female opponent, he was rewarded with the possibility of removing her bra. However, the game didn’t offer a “no” option and so the streamer selected “yes.” The female character then stripped and her completely nude body appeared on the screen.

After letting out a brief scream, xQc quickly hid the screen but the damage had already been done, and the look on his face gave the impression that he knew it. Shortly thereafter, his Twitch channel went offline and the streamer took to Discord to explain that he had been banned. Because the suspension happened so quickly, xQc believes that it was due to viewers mass reporting the incident. “Instabans are 100% mass report results, not manual,” he said in his Discord channel. “Manual bans take a day to kick in.”

xQc’s Discord channel also seemed to go offline soon afterward, causing many to wonder if the streamer had been banned from that service as well. However, the Discord channel is now back up and running, and its temporary disappearance may have simply been due to an influx of viewers from the interrupted stream overwhelming the server.

Twitch has very clear rules prohibiting users from streaming nudity, pornography, or other sexually explicit content. Generally, the consequence of violating this rule is a three-day suspension. However, this isn’t xQc’s first ban from Twitch and that might result in a longer punishment.

In July 2019, the former pro gamer was suspended from Twitch for watching a YouTube video during his stream called “Safe For Work P***,” which showed real pornography with the NSFW body parts covered by representative cartoons. However, Twitch watched the stream and noticed that part of the male performer’s genitalia was displayed for a brief moment in the video. A three-day ban soon followed.

Twitch tends to follow a “three strikes” policy and, given that this will be xQc’s second suspension, the streamer will have to be more careful about his content from now on if he wishes to avoid a permanent Twitch ban in the future.
