DOOM Eternal Features a Nod to Its QA Team | Game Rant
Doom Eternal released on March 20th and has been praised as a complete action-packed shooter. Doom Eternal features a ton of references and Easter eggs as the video game series always does. An Easter egg was found in-game that gives a nod to the quality assurance team at the game's developer, id Software.
QA lead at Rockstar Lincoln, Jordan Garland, noticed the Doom Eternal Easter egg and tweeted a picture with it saying he is a big fan. The in-game Easter egg is a digital screen that is titled "Quality Excellence Award" with the Union Aerospace Corporations initials above. Listed are all the members of the QA team with the head of team, Addison Ziegler featured first. The phrase "Observe. Excel. Observe." is written at the bottom, which is a motto that could be used by the QA team.
The QA team is featured both in the end game credits and in the Easter egg. The QA team deserved such a big shout out by producing a successful game with minimal bugs. Doom Eternal is surprisingly complex, and even features two classic games within it.
It is very apparent that the developers worked very hard on the game. The story mode features some of the best Doom moments and keeps the player wanting to progress to the end. The developers also added plenty of post-story content so the game is still fun after beating it. There are a ton of Easter eggs like these to be found in Doom Eternal and they all are exciting to discover.
DOOM Eternal is available now for PC, PS4, Switch, and Xbox One.
