PlayStation's March Madness Sale Offers Deep Discounts on Huge PS4 Games

The PlayStation Store's March Madness Sale is now live and offers massive discounts on select games for the PlayStation 4. The best part about the March Madness Sale is that it offers up to 100 titles, including some of 2019's biggest games, with discounts going as high as 70% off. The PlayStation Store's March Madness Sale will run until March 30, which will give players plenty of time to grab a deal or two.

Headlining the PlayStation Store's March Madness Sale is Borderlands 3 Deluxe Edition. The special edition of Borderlands 3 is usually priced at $79.99, but the PlayStation Store is offering it right now for $39.99 or 50% off the original price. The Deluxe Edition of the game includes a wide variety of cosmetic and weapon skins, the Toy Box Weapons pack, and equippable XP & Loot Drop Boost Mods. In its Spring 2020 DLC Roadmap, developer Gearbox revealed that Borderlands 3 will be getting a story DLC this month.

Another notable title that players can purchase at a discount right now is the 2019 remake of Resident Evil 2. The PlayStation Store is offering the Deluxe Version of Resident Evil 2 Remake for $22.99, which is 54% off its current list price of $49.99. This special edition of the game includes multiple costumes for both Leon Kennedy and Claire Redfield, a deluxe weapon, and the original game's soundtrack, which can be swapped in-game. Playing Resident Evil 2 will also be an essential prep for those who are interested in the upcoming remake of Resident Evil 3, which is set to release on April 3, 2020.

The PlayStation Store's March Madness Sale also includes the following games:

  • Monster Hunter World: Iceborne Digital Deluxe - $37.49

Meanwhile, Sony recently held a stream that discussed the upcoming PlayStation 5 in detail. Many hoped that the presentation would finally unveil the PlayStation 5's design, but unfortunately, the company only discussed the console's more technical aspects without actually revealing what the console itself would look like. The PlayStation 5 reveal was supposed to take place at GDC 2020, but that event was canceled due to growing fears surrounding the current COVID-19 outbreak.

Additionally, the PS5 reveal quickly trended on Twitter, which should be unsurprising, but its sudden surge in popularity in social media was due to its lackluster presentation and the disappointment about the PlayStation 5's absence in its own reveal event. The PlayStation 5 live stream was led by Lead System Architect Mark Cerny, who did a deep dive into the console's hardware, which is good for developers, but not so much for gamers.
