Cyberpunk Horror Game Observer: System Redux Coming to Next-Gen Consoles With New Story Content
Bloober Team has officially unveiled its plans for Observer: System Redux. After a week of teasers for the next-gen console version of the cyberpunk horror game, Bloober has made a full reveal. Observer: System Redux is not only getting a complete visual overhaul to take advantage of next-gen performance, but is also adding much more.
The first addition for Observer: System Redux is what it describes as "enhanced gameplay." Exactly what this descriptor means isn't wholly clear, but players hope it means some polish for some of the game's more frustrating sequences. The game's original release was criticized for its stealth sections and limited interactivity.
Next, Bloober Team plans to add entirely new story content to Observer. It isn't clear if Bloober plans to expand the main storyline of the game or if it'll be new side content. What Bloober does say is that Observer: System Redux will be the definitive version of Observer, which fans won't want to miss out on.
New content aside, if there's a game that deserves to be shared with a new audience, Observer's near the top of the list. It's an indie game with limited reach due to its genre, but Observer tells a very well-told cyberpunk story that's tense in all the right ways. Also, Rutger Hauer's voicework has received high praise. Hopefully, PS5 and Xbox Series X buyers experience it for themselves.
Observer: System Redux launches holiday 2020 on next-generation platforms.
