Dauntless Easter Event Has Players Hunting Eggs | Game Rant

Dauntless, the free-to-play game similar to Monster Hunter, is celebrating Easter, or "Springtide" as the game refers to it, by asking players to find eggs. In a twist on the usual formula, users will also be tasked with protecting pufflehops, which look quite a bit like rabbits, from a monster attack.

Dauntless, arguably one of the best RPGs of 2019, has proved to be pretty popular, offering fans a way to kick back and hunt some monsters without having to spend any money. Partaking in the Springtide event will also net players Carrot Chips, which can be used to unlock special gear and rewards from the event.

Of course, video games are no stranger to Easter eggs, though it seems like the term is being taken quite literally this year. Animal Crossing players were frustrated with the number of eggs found in the Bunny Day event early on, and while the amount of eggs has been reduced, there are still those that feel overwhelmed by the island's take on Easter.

With many at home waiting out the quarantine, video games are a good way to enjoy holidays like Easter without breaking social distancing guidelines. It's a bit unfortunate, but it's still a necessary practice for the time being.

Dauntless is available now on PC, PS4, Switch, and Xbox One.
