Destiny 2 Trials of Osiris Rewards Are Bugged Again | Game Rant
There's been a wave of negativity in the Destiny 2 community regarding the Trials of Osiris. Whether it's the mode's loot, issues witch cheating, connection issues, or just the community, Destiny 2 players are growing disillusioned with it. Unfortunately, a new bug in Trials of Osiris is only going to compound frustrations. The bug is causing Destiny 2 players to not earn loot for their 3rd, 5th, or 7th wins. Luckily, Bungie has a fix coming soon.
To be specific, this is a new problem that's spun off of the hotfix that Bungie had previously issued. That issue was similar in that it was denying players their weekly loot for 3, 5, and 7 wins while playing Trials of Osiris. The hotfix was intended to correct that and allow players the chance to win their weekly loot. A new problem prevented the weekly challenge from being reassigned to players who were bugged, perpetuating the issue.
Those worried that this might be a long-lasting issue, or at least a longer-lasting issue, need not worry. According to Bungie, those still experiencing the Trials of Osiris bug denying them weekly challenge loot will have the bug fixed Saturday, the issue being that the challenges weren't reset for players, so the next Trials of Osiris reset will take of the matter automatically.
The bad news is that yes, this means that players with the bug will miss an entire week's worth of Trials of Osiris challenge loot for getting 3, 5, and 7 wins. There's simply no way to fix the problem in a way that would be faster than allowing it to happen naturally with the Saturday reset.
Players, at the very least, can still win flawless Trials of Osiris rewards if they do manage the accomplishment. For most Trials of Osiris players, that's not much, as getting a flawless run is not a simple feat. It is something, though.
Bungie has to be incredibly frustrated with the Trials of Osiris situation so far. Bringing back a fun and competitive feature should have been an exciting event, but instead, the attitude surrounding Trials of Osiris has been extremely negative. For a studio that's been forced to work from home due to the COVID-19 pandemic, doing the best it can, there's likely some wishing Trials had never been brought back. It has to be a challenge for Bungie.
Destiny 2 is available now on PC, PS4, Stadia, and Xbox One.
