Disney Gives Mulan New Release Date | Game Rant
Disney’s live-action remake of Mulan was once slated to be out by now, but thanks to the coronavirus pandemic, it ended up being one of the many major movies that have been delayed. There is some good news, though, because Disney has announced that it won’t be too much longer before the movie, hopefully, makes it to theaters.
This morning saw the company announce new release dates for several of its delayed movies, including Black Widow and all of the MCU films following it. Among them was Mulan, which was supposed to come out last week on March 27, but now the movie is currently slated to open on July 24, 2020.
In doing so, the more action-focused reimagining of the 1998 animated film will be taking the spot of another Disney movie originally planned to come out on that day. The movie in question is Jungle Cruise, a period action-adventure starring Dwayne Johnson and Emily Blunt based on the Disneyland ride of the same name. As a result of all of the rescheduling, that movie has been delayed a full year to July 30, 2021.
Given that the coronavirus situation is still ongoing and will likely continue for months, it’s possible that Disney will have to delay Mulan, Black Widow, and its other 2020 movies yet again. With any luck, though, it won’t have to, and film-goers will be able to start enjoying these films in theaters within a few months.
Mulan is currently slated to premiere in theaters on July 24.
