Final Fantasy 7 Characters Get Polygon Model Display Figures
Right on the heels of revealing new Final Fantasy 7 Remake Play Arts Kai figurines, Square unveils new display figures for select Final Fantasy 7 characters. These replicas imitate the polygonal models that the characters used back in the original game.
There are eight characters collectors can receive when making a purchase. However, the figures are in "blind boxes," meaning buyers won't know what model they get until they get it, and each blind box order will cost 64 dollars. The possible characters include Cloud, Barret, Tifa, Aerith, Red XIII, Reno, and Sephiroth.
The identity of the eighth model wasn't revealed. Instead, Square has decided to treat it as something "special," meaning when fans make a purchase, they'll have a chance of receiving one of the seven mentioned polygon models or this special "chaser" figurine. Who this character ends up being should be interesting, as there are plenty of other popular FF7 cast members outside of the confirmed seven.
Fans can currently only pre-order blind boxes, as they won't ship until August 2020. However, this date is only an estimate, and the product may instead release later. Square Enix will update the store site with new information if that happens.
Final Fantasy 7 Remake is available now for PlayStation 4.
