Hallmark Reveals New Video Game Christmas Ornaments Based on Nintendo, Pokemon, and More

While Easter Sunday may seem early to be thinking about Christmas tree decorating, the greeting card manufacturer Hallmark has recently unveiled its annual "Dream Book" for keepsake ornaments. In 2017 Hallmark began selling Super Mario ornaments, and among the offerings this year are themed ornaments from Nintendo, Epic Games, and Mojang.

On page 111 of the 2020 Dream Book, Hallmark lists nine video game-themed ornaments starting at $15.99. Some are based on Nintendo characters; like a Pikachu, kart-riding Yoshi, and 8-bit Donkey Kong; while others are based on paraphernalia; like an NES console and Joust arcade machine. There is also an ornament depicting the Fortnite Battle Bus and one replicating the Nether from Minecraft.

None of the new video game ornaments are available now, and their releases will be staggered throughout the year alongside other decorations based on properties like the Disney+ show The Mandalorian. If anything in the Dream Book is of interest, its release date can be found on Hallmark's website.

Because of recent shortages as a result of the coronavirus pandemic, Nintendo has indicated that more Switch consoles are being shipped worldwide. That should make a perfect gift for any fan also interested in Hallmark's keepsake ornaments.
