New Ducktales Video Game is Fake | Game Rant
Earlier today, FDG Entertainment and Game Atelier, the developers of Monster Boy and the Cursed Kingdom, posted a tweet claiming that they would be collaborating on a new DuckTales project called DuckTales QuackShot.
The announcement came with several screens showing off the game. DuckTales QuackShot would be a platformer that allowed players to take control of Donald, Huey, Dewy, Luie, and possibly even Uncle Scrouge. It was a nice tease that left fans interested in future updates, but what came next only served to be hopelessly disheartening.
Over ten hours after DuckTale's Quackshot's reveal, FDG Entertainment posted another tweet claiming that the whole thing was simply an April Fools joke, which is a shame. The last solid DuckTales game released was DuckTales Remastered, which came out almost seven years ago.
When fans asked why the developers would go through all of the trouble of making screens for a simple joke, FDG provided an answer that only made things even more disappointing. Apparently, DuckTales QuackShot was a real game idea that FDG and Atelier had. The duo presented its screens and ideas to Disney, but Disney simply wasn't interested. So, instead of burying all the work, FDG and Atelier turned the game into an April Fools joke.
DuckTales QuackShots does not exist and won't release on anything in the foreseeable future.
