Ninjala Open Beta Dates Announced | Game Rant
Battle royales have continued to dominate the video game industry. While the most popular battle royale games (like PUBG or Call of Duty: Warzone) are shooters, developer Gung Ho Online Entertainment are eager to provide its own take on the genre. Its latest Nintendo Switch game, Ninjala, throws ninjas and a colorful, Splatoon-like art style into the mix.
Gung Ho is better known for its work on the mobile game Puzzles and Dragons, but the developer has worked with Nintendo in the past. Previously, the developer collaborated with Nintendo for a Puzzles and Dragons collaboration on the Nintendo DS and a remastered collection of the Grandia series. Now, Gung Ho has unveiled that Ninjala's open beta will be open on April 28-29.
In the press release, Gung Ho Online Entertainment explained that Ninjala's open beta will focus on the game's battle royale mode, which allows up to eight players. The beta will also allow players to experiment with a training mode and 4 weapons from the game's arsenal: the Drill Beat, Ippon Katana, SK8 Hammer, and Trick Ball. Eight more weapons will be available in the final release. Gung Ho concluded with a promise that Ninjala would not require players to use a Nintendo Switch Online subscription.
Until Ninjala begins its open beta period, fans will have to enjoy Gung Ho's development diaries and trailers. Ultimately, in a flooded industry, time will tell whether or not the latest battle royale will survive.
Ninjala will be available for open beta on April 28-29 for the Nintendo Switch.
