One Punch Man Game Reveals First DLC Character | Game Rant
One Punch Man: A Hero Nobody Knows is the first proper video game for the popular series, bringing Saitama, Genos, and the plethora of superheroes in the Hero Association to life in a new form. While the game may have received average reviews, that isn't stopping plans for DLC, and now fans can see who the first DLC character will be.
For the uninitiated, One Punch Man follows Saitama, who by all appearances, seems like a regular guy. However, Saitama is a superhero with a unique power, as he is able to dispatch any foe with one punch. One would think that building a fighting game around a main character so overwhelmingly powerful wouldn't work, but the developers have come up with a system that makes Saitama trickier to use than other characters in the game. The world of One Punch Man has a large cast of characters, and the first to appear as DLC is none other than Suiryu.
The five-time champion of the Super Fight making use of the Void Fist, Bandai Namco describes Suiryu as "a young man who has immense strength, speed, reflexes and durability... his Void Fist focuses on maximizing damage output and keeping a consistent flow of damage."
The character trailer shows off some of that consistent flow, culminating in the powerful Dark Body Phoenix Rising Fist attack. Suiryu poses with a cheeky smile after knocking his opponent away.
Bandai Namco has carved out the market for anime fighters, with continued support for My Hero Academia's My Hero One's Justice 2, Jump Force, and now One Punch Man. While mileage may vary, fans looking to play as their favorite characters are most certainly in luck.
One Punch Man: A Hero Nobody Knows is available now for PC, PS4, and Xbox One.
