Baby Yoda Face Masks Are Now Available At Disney, Benefit Charity
As we continue to practice social distancing, we can all do our part by wearing a face mask when we have to go out for essentials. Many states are encouraging or mandating face coverings in public, which has led companies to start manufacturing consumer cloth masks. Disney just unveiled a lineup of face masks featuring beloved characters and franchises, including Baby Yoda (The Child) from The Mandalorian. The masks are available to pre-order now and are expected to release on June 29. The first $1 million in profits will be donated to MedShare, a non-profit that redistributes surplus medical supplies to hospitals in need. Additionally, Disney will donate one million masks to underserved communities throughout the United States.
There are six sets of masks to choose from, including Pixar, Marvel, Star Wars, Mickey and Minnie, and Disney princesses. Each $20 set comes with four masks and is available in three sizes: small, medium, and large. Disney has a sizing guide that recommends measuring from the bridge of your nose to the bottom of your chin to determine the right size. Generally, small masks will be ideal for young children, while medium and large masks will most likely fit teens and adults.
The front of each mask is made of polyester, the middle and back are cotton, and the ear loops are a blend of cotton and elastane. Disney created the masks in accordance with FDA guidelines for non-surgical grade face coverings.
